The structure and support personally provided by Joel, his workbook and the other group participants helped me to clarify and define what I wanted and to get there.

When I started in Joel's group coaching session and started working through the workbook, it really helped to look at my life as a whole. There are many coaches that start with "what is it you want to do?" Joel's process actually helps you to first get to that answer and then take action to achieve it. For two years I read numerous books and did extensive self-analysis without determining what I wanted to do with my life. With the Dream Job workbook and group work, in just 60 days I have defined a direction and taken meaningful steps toward turning my vision into reality.

What led me to search for a Career Coach was the fact that while I had, on paper, a very good and respectable job, it wasn't my passion and it wasn't completely fulfilling me to the degree that I wished. The Group Coaching process helped me uncover and identify the things that were holding me back and preventing me from seeing the possibilities and benefits inherent in a change. I did, in fact, identify my Dream Job. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have Joel as a coach.

This book and the Group Coaching process has helped me realize my life-long passions and dreams, figure out what is most important in my life, and incorporate all of these things into a life-transforming dream job. I only had the opportunity to work with Joel for a couple of hours, but that short period literally changed my life. I was a Chief Strategy Officer at a small start-up company when I started the dream job process. I wanted to be able to articulate my strengths and passions into a dream job description and commit to obtaining my dream job. I got a job as a portfolio manager for High Net Worth individuals at a major bank which was EXACTLY the job that I arrived at in the dream job process.

I had just been laid off, felt burnt out on working and on the type of career I'd had for 17 years.
