Joel’s Dream Job Coaching program has been the best thing I have ever done for myself, professionally. The most valuable contributions of his coaching has been the visceral reminder of my capacity to change the world by what I do.
Currently I am Associate Director of the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector at the University of Maryland, College Park, and I live in San Diego, California but travel widely (I am writing you from Zambia in southern Africa.). Coaches were new to me when I came home after 15 years abroad, so I surfed the Internet and interviewed five before I selected Joel. I wanted to work on job satisfaction, balancing my life better between home and work, and resolving chaotic finances.
As a direct result of my work with Joel, my salary went up 20%, my benefits the same, my autonomy within my organization reached unprecedented levels, and I learned how to create islands of excellence in an academic institution. My work is internationally recognized, I present regularly at the World Bank and other fora, the governments of Russia and China welcome my involvement in those locations, and my time is in demand up to a year in advance.
Family life has become far more meaningful, and Joel helped me find ways to better communicate with my girls and to make arrangements with my husband which meant time away from home was less chaotic and traumatic for us all. We have enhanced all of our relationships, and have a lot more fun.
Money was a problem for me because of the vagaries of travel and work-related costs not being reimbursed. Joel gave me very effective tools that have resulted in my being completely debt-free and talking seriously about investments for the first time in my life.
There are still things we worked on that haven’t been resolved: exercise time, and balancing paperwork. But they are getting worked on, and progress is being made, which is a far cry from where I was before I started.
If any of this sounds good to you, then do invest in yourself by working with Joel. It was the best money I ever spent, and my suspicion is that you will find the same.
