It seems like yesterday that we were looking forward to spring -- and in just two days spring will be replaced by summer. Shortly after summer arrives, we'll pass the half-way point for 2006.

That makes this a very good time to review your intentions for the year and assess the progress you've made toward accomplishing your goals. Are you on target to achieve what you wanted at work and in your personal life? If not, what has to happen in the last half of 2006 for you to reach your goals before the year draws to a close?

With six months left to go, you still have time to make things happen, but time has a way of slipping by when we're not paying attention. So consider this a wake-up call for any goals you've neglected and a pat on the back for those that you've kept on track.

Have a timely week,

Joel

FULFILLMENT TIPS

1. If you can stand it, you deserve it.

How much you deserve is in direct proportion to how much you can stand. Can you stand loving your work and doing work that aligns with you? Can you stand doing work that speaks to who you are and what you were put on this earth to do? If you can stand it, you deserve the opportunity to do work that you love and enjoy and that taps into your passion. Is the work you now do worthy of who you truly are and most want to be? If not, find the work you deserve.

2. The other side of can't.

Do you believe in yourself? Do you feel you can do anything? Or do you allow self-imposed limitations to affect what you can and cannot do? Push yourself to do what you think you can’t do. You'll discover that the fear is never as overwhelming as we expect it to be. And you will be happily surprised when you learn that you really can do what you believed was impossible. Take action and learn what it's like on the other side of "can't."

3. Let what you want show up naturally.

When we deeply desire something, whether it’s a goal, an intention, or an object, it's easy to focus our attention on it to the point of obsession. In the process, we may try to force the object of our desire to come before its time...or before we're ready. Try releasing your grip on your desires and let them show up more naturally. You'll either move closer to what you want...or gain something even better.

4. Replace hesitation with boldness.

Do you hesitate instead of taking the action that you know is required? Do you overthink, making sure each step you take is the perfect step to take at that time? If you have a habit of overthinking, you may be blocking your progress. By getting lost in your thoughts and fears, you make it nearly impossible to take the actions necessary for accomplishing your goals. Instead, be bold. Decide on the next step and take it without hesitation.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK
